Drilling service

Directional drilling

Directional drilling. To install a pipe under an obstacle without disturbing the surrounding environment.

Directional drilling differs from horizontal drilling in its curved trajectory.

Directional drilling allows the pipe to pass under obstacles on its way to and from the surface, so no major excavation is required. Our experienced technicians use high-performance guidance systems to maintain precision and ensure the drilling trajectory.

Expertise and equipment for all types of work requiring directional drilling.

Using a variety of drills, we can undertake simple drilling jobs requiring a capacity of less than 10,000 pounds, such as service entrance pipes. We can also handle major projects requiring capacities of 750,000 lb or more, such as river crossings in rock over 1 km (± 3,280 ft). The recycling units we use for drilling mud are more than efficient, and considerably reduce the volume of mud to be disposed of at the end of the job.

Possible applications for directional drilling.

Whatever the nature of the obstacle to be bypassed and the diameter of the pipe to be installed, we have the expertise and technology to carry out all your directional drilling work, just as you wish. Note that this :

Ideal for soils free of pebbles and boulders (clay, silt and sand)

Can also be used in virtually all types of rock

has enabled us to achieve a diameter of up to 42 in. and a length of 900 m.

Note that the possible length varies according to ground conditions and the required diameter.
